Chinese Studies

China is a country with a rich culture and extensive history. In fact, it is the longest continuous culture in human history. Chinese Studies is an opportunity for expatriate students living here to not only broaden their horizons, but also to help them to communicate with friendly Chinese people.

Deepening students’ understanding of Chinese culture is at the core of this subject. Students investigate traditional culture, such as festivals, food, clothing, symbols and values, etc. Through an understanding of Chinese culture, students can appreciate Chinese history and equips students with authentic social language in order to be functional in a variety of contexts in Changchun and around China.

The ultimate aim of this subject is to develop a sense of international-mindedness through an appreciation human commonalities and diversity.
