The Visual Arts courses in both MYP4-5 and DP encourage students to challenge their own creative and cultural expectations and boundaries.

MYP4-5

Students may choose Visual Arts to study for two years in MYP 4 and 5. For 2 years, students will experience working with various artistic media, such as drawing, painting, three-dimensional arts, to new media. They will learn and apply creative thinking, process, knowledge, skill, and art specific language through a deeper and wide range of inquiry based learning experience. Students will experience various units to develop conceptual understanding in global contexts by using a statement of inquiry and inquiry questions to explore the arts.

In addition to exploring and comparing visual arts from different perspectives and in different contexts, students are expected to engage in, experiment with and critically reflect upon a wide range of contemporary practices and media.
