Employment
Are you CAIS?
CAIS teachers are dynamic, international education professionals who support the IB constructivist approach to student learning. Teachers are empowered to develop and lead new projects and initiatives. These included: a sponsored Mini-Marathon, Pie Day, the Duke of Edinburgh International Award, the Outdoors Club, the Mountain Biking Club, the Scuba Diving Expedition, the Karate Club, the Culinary Club, and the Drama Competition to name a few!
Professional Development
CAIS teachers have been sent to almost 100 IB workshops in the past academic year, via face-to-face workshops on-site, off-site and on-line. The school's generous whole school PD fund is complemented by a teacher's Personal PD allowance of $1,000 per contract.
CAIS offers a wonderful teaching experience, filled with rich cultural explorations, and incredible opportunities for personal and professional growth.
CAIS staff benefit from working in a dynamic professional community that is supported by a highly generous Professional Development programme that was commended by the IBO in their last re-authorisation report.
Teacher Collaboration
CAIS teachers meet and collaborate on a regular basis, both formally and informally. They are supportive and collegial and work as a team to support student learning.
