Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)

CAIS is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). CAIS met the requirements for membership by meeting CIS membership criteria and following a site visit and a Membership Report.

CAIS is in the final stages of gaining joint Accreditation from CIS/WASC. The Pre-Evaluation Visit took place in early 2020. This was followed by a Report and the school community then was involved in a 12-18 month Self-Study process. Part 1 and Domain A was submitted to CIS in February 2022 and we received feedback in March 2022. The final Self-Study is being submitted to CIS in August 2022. After this, a CIS/WASC Accreditation Team will visit CAIS from October 15 to 21, 2022, to gather evidence to substantiate that the school meets the requisite standards to gain Accreditation. After this visit, the school is expecting to receive CIS/WASC accreditation.
