About Us
Changchun American International School (CAIS) is the first K-12 international school to be approved by the Jilin Provincial Government, and was established to meet the educational needs of international students, preparing them for success and fulfilled lives, meeting the challenges and opportunities of the 21st Century.
The school is located in the north east of China, in Changchun, Jilin Province. Changchun is one of the leading auto manufacturing cities in China, with a strong representation of foreign auto manufacturers. The population of Changchun is between 6 and 7 million, 10 percent of which are of Korean origin. Currently, over 21 nationalities are represented by staff and teachers at CAIS.
CAIS is currently an International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) Primary Years Program interested school, an IBO Middle Years Candidate School, and an IBO Diploma Program World School.
The school campus is capable of accommodating over 300 students. Outstanding features of the school campus include:

The school also offers Mandarin to all grades, and has the capacity to teach Korean, German, and French. ESL courses are available to students with limited English. Class sizes at present do not exceed 15 students per class, with most classes at less than 9 students, creating an ideal student/teacher ratio. The school has a Model United Nations club.
